Read the complete build-up

Check product names, versions, thicknesses, substrates and fixing patterns. Also check the test method and direction of exposure. A certificate may cover a product, a system or a particular combination.

Different questions need different tests

Reaction to fire, fire resistance and external fire exposure are different subjects. FM assessments and European classifications also have their own scopes. None is a universal answer for every PV arrangement.

Make deviations visible

Compare your project with the report and highlight the differences. Ask the supplier or responsible designer how those deviations should be assessed. A planned test is not yet a result, and a summary does not replace the complete report. Keep the relevant version with the project documentation.

The most useful evidence demonstrably matches the assembly that will actually be built.
